Founded to create a fenced-in, off-leash dog park where well behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. The Park is located at 45th Street & Haven Avenue. When heading southbound on West Avenue, make a right hand turn onto 45th Street and proceed approximately ¼ of a block until you see the Dog Park on your right along with a parking area where Handicap parking is available. Signs have been placed on West Avenue in both directions denoting the location of the Park. To develop a beautiful and well-maintained space open to dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and regulations. To view the park as a community project in partnership with the County of Cape May and the City of Ocean City designed to satisfy the needs of dog owners and non-dog owners alike. To promote education, training and recreational activities that facilitate responsible dog ownership and better-behaved dogs through the use of volunteers and professional dog trainers. OCDPA is a not for profit 501 C3 organization UPDATED NEWS FLASH...NEWS FROM THE DOG PARK! The Ocean City Dog Park Assn. will run a series of educational seminars to help people and dogs get along and safely enjoy our dog park. The first will be presented by Lee Mann, a Certified Master Trainer. The topic will be Dog Park Rules and Regulations at the Port O'Call, 15th and Boardwalk, on Sat., Feb.20 from 9:30 a.m. to 11a.m. A Continental Breakfast will be served. Special thanks to...The many volunteers who labored in today's heat to make the park look so beautiful. We are lucky to have such a dedicated group of park users who care enough to help keep the park looking great for our dogs and the community. Effective June 1, 2009 the new fees will be $30 for a county resident and $40 for a non-county resident. The $10 fee remains the same for weekly passes. New members needed to join the OCDP Board Association. Please join us at our next meeting for more details and information. We now meet at the Bayside Center located at 520 Bay Avenue. If you can’t make this meeting but are interested, just email a message using the Volunteer link in the sidebar menu. PET PATROL VOLUNTEER TRAINING SESSIONTraining will take place at various times at the park. CAPE MAY COUNTY/OCEAN CITY DOG PARKCape May County residents may now apply for "Paw Passes" to gain entry to The Cape May County Dog Park in Ocean City, located at 45th Street and Haven Avenue in Ocean City, NJ 08226. The applications are available at City Hall Reception Desk in Ocean City at 861 Asbury Avenue, on the first floor or can be downloaded from the sidebar menu. Fees increased in June 2009 as noted above. |
